Description:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Conducts exploratory research to produce new knowledge and potential products conceives organizes promotes and executes ideas and plans to increase chemistry's role in and contribution to the discovery and chemical approaches to meet exploratory objectives in product discovery. Develops research proposals to provide a technically and economically sound basis for developing and evaluating new or improved products synthetic methods processes and analytical and physical testing techniques. Recommends utilization of the results or changes in the scope of work or termination of projects.
This role will be supporting the junior and sr. level Chemists. Job duties include but aren't limited too:
- hazardous waste removal
- sample prep
- solution prep
- cleaning glassware
- stocking chemicals
- organizing supplies
* They will have exposure to analytical instrumentation such as: HPLC, Karl Fischer, pH meter, UV-Vis, GC.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field
- 1-3 years of experience
- Experience with new product development and sustaining project support
- Experience with analytical instrumentation: HPLC-DAD, GPC, GC-MS, Karl Fischer, FT-IR and UV-Vis
- Experience of using chromatography software: Empower and MassHunter;
- Experience using common electronic documentation software (e.g. MAP, Agile or equivalent).
